Mid-West University (MU), Surkhet, Nepal, established by an Act of Parliament on June 17, 2010, is a prominent public institution committed to expanding access to quality higher education in Nepal. MU serves as a dynamic center for academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.
The university currently comprises seven faculties—Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, Science and Technology, Engineering, Law, and Agriculture and Forestry—offering over 50 academic programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels. With an expanding network of affiliated colleges, dedicated faculty, and international partnerships, MU promotes a culture of interdisciplinary research and practical learning aligned with global standards.

The Mid-West International Multidisciplinary Conference (MIMC–2026), organized by Mid-West University (MU), Surkhet, Nepal, in partnership with esteemed national and international academic and research collaborators, will be held from April 24 to 26, 2026, at Mid-West University’s Main Campus in Surkhet. Focusing on the theme “Interdisciplinary Synergies for Sustainable Futures in the Age of AI and Global Transformation,” the conference seeks to provide a dynamic global platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, research collaboration, and knowledge sharing. It will explore how artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and sustainability are transforming education, governance, technology, and society.
Covering six major thematic tracks—across social sciences, education, law, management, science, engineering, and agriculture—the conference encourages integrated, evidence-based solutions to regional and global challenges. Expected outcomes include the publication of conference proceedings with ISBN/DOI, special issues in peer-reviewed journals, and the establishment of the Mid-West Interdisciplinary Research Network (MIRN). By uniting scholars, policymakers, and innovators worldwide, MIMC–2026 aims to elevate Mid-West University’s reputation as a center of multidisciplinary research excellence and a driver of sustainable development in Nepal and beyond.
